Standing On Boxes

And more tweaks… not obvious ones today… part of the goal of revising is to make it flow in a better fashion… and that takes time.

More minor story tweaks… It’s gonna be like that for the next few days… until it is finished.

Finally into revision mode (small tweaks, filling in plot holes, etc) on The Two Part X. I might actually get the whole part done before the end of the month, almost 3 months after I started it… yikes!

So it didn’t rain as much around here as predicted. In fact, the sun is out now…

What’s left of Hurricane Ivan has started heading this way… not much more than occasional rain showers so far but a lot of schools and businesses have decided to stay closed for Friday just in case.

And Saturday is the big UT vs. Florida game. They expect to play in the rain…. I’m not a huge football fan… but people around here are certainly very enthusiastic. It almost explains the UT football stadium that seats 100K+ spectators.

Still having problems with Part 10 of my fic “The Two”… if I went by word count it’s almost done but it feels like I’m missing a few sections. It feels incomplete as is.

So… I’ve started working on the next part ( 11 ). I want to be half-way before the middle of October – a year after I started writing it… and 5 months after I started posting it to ikoly. Parts 13 thru should go quickly since they will be mostly action. It’ll probably take me another year to write the last 6 parts…

September is off to a rousing start… no fic writing on my planet for the Labor Day Weekend. Spent time reading, not writing…

Spent time over on a Buffy/Giles shipper site. Not my normal fanfic reading hangout. Some good stuff, some ok stuff… a lot of stuff the same. I’m not into the NC-17 stuff… a bit too graphic for me. Or the Dead Buffy/Giles fics. I prefer them to be alive at the end of the story.

Preferably friendship with only very mild subtext, if any, like The Consultant. Or, at a different website,
