Standing On Boxes

The goal for lunch tomorrow? Try out a new (to me anyway) Mexican fast food restaurant, SalsaRita’s. Supposed to be like Subway, except good Mexican style food.

Not to be confused (like I was until I started looking for it by location instead of misspelled name) with several restaurants called Salsalitos:

1. www.salsalitos.com- all you’ll get is an advertisement from whomever supposedly designed it. Looks like an oops to me.
2. www.salsalitosa.com – is a San Antonio, TX restaurant of dubious quality (according to reviews in A San Antonio newspaper).
3. Some Taco shop in Marin County, CA, USA.

I’m glad I (eventually) found the correct restaurant.

What other things frustrated me today? How about… buying a pair of jeans? Couldn’t remember my size. Even though I’ve worn the same size for 3 years. Argh!! Had to actually try them on. Good thing too. My mind is under the delusion that my waist is smaller than it is, contrary to all empirical evidence.

Found out when I went to get my car this afternoon… I was this close to having a serious coolant problem in the red car. The hose attached to the coolant reservoir was just barely hanging on. So much for Annual Coolant Leak #2. A lot cheaper than last years radiator/water pump replacement combo in the same car (Most of which was spent in labor because they didn’t fail at the same time.)

Next up… really need some new tires. The front ones are wearing ‘funny’. Hopefully I can make it to February. (another 800 or so miles max)

I don’t write much about my personal life here. Because, well… it’s personal. And I’m not about to start now. But I will say that I spent 44 minutes on the phone venting to one family member about my frustrations with another non-communicative person in my inner circle. Did I feel better afterward? Argh!! Nuff. said. Sorry. back to your regularly scheduled mild mannered blog.

I have this urge to write something but I don’t know what. I have so many unfinished fics, I’m not sure what to start with or whether to start with something new. So much untrod ground.
