Standing On Boxes

I hate to spend money and not get anything back… but here’s a reason to go to Vegas – The Rio Carnival World Buffet – the biggest buffet in Vegas, maybe even the world. (Use Google to find info if you are curious)

Not cheap though… looks like $50+ a day if you want to eat all your meals there (unless they have special deals for guests…) and the hotel itself doesn’t have room service. But otherwise… looks like a one-stop entertainment location in Vegas.

Hmmm….

My “Works in Progress” page now has 12 entries on it (added one today – also added a drabble to the drabble list on the completed page.). Should probably move some to another page – the “Updated quarterly” page – at least 4 of them haven’t had anything added since October.

Renewed my weblog hosting/software – now good until May 28th , 2006. I started it back in 2002 (In the mid-90′s I had my own website but there was a gap of a few years when I changed job locations until I found Radio. It’s a wonderful content management system built on top of “Frontier” (Which is supposed to become open source eventually – if it isn’t already). Some day I’ll actually use it for more than my blog. I’ve played with its built-in outliner… but haven’t done a lot with it.)

For the curious who might want to see what other people think of my fics… besides here -

I put my fics on three different archives:

• FanFiction.net (Just a small selection of some of my stand-alone fics)
• I Kind of Love You 2 (A Buffy/Willow fic archive)
• Twisting the Hellmouth (BtVS Crossovers) (Most of my fics are crossovers so most of them are here)

I’ve also posted fics to two mailing lists:

(these can be found via Yahoo Groups – but you need to be 18+ to join/browse)

• FaithFul Chickies (A Faith-centric femslash list)
• Buffy wants Willow (Also archived on eScribe)

I also post things to the following USENet newsgroups:

• alt.tv.buffy-v-slayer.creative which can be accessed via Google groups.
• alt.fan.lara-croft which can also be accessed via Google groups.

Actually looking for my fics or reviews of them in the mailing lists or USENet groups… ? They all have search mechanisms – but it isn’t as easy as a regular fic archive.

Note: I do get quite a few private messages with feedback/reviews (and I often reply to reviewers directly). But I don’t share private e-mail. Sorry.
