The background music for an inane Disney (World Travel Co.) commercial? The “Every parent is a super-hero, so bring your kids to Disney World for $XXXX” commercial?
It’s the theme to the old show “Greatest American Hero” (Which is now out on DVD).
How low can they stoop! Next thing you know… they’ll copyright/trademark Cinderella.

Apparently there is some secret knowledge about my fics here somewhere on my blog. And if you don’t know where it is none of my fics posted elsewhere make any sense. Supposedly, only the elitists who visit my blog can understand my stories…
Or so someone told me today…
Sorry about that. I didn’t know that. Guess I should go erase my fics from TtH, Ikoly, and Fanfiction.net so people don’t get confused.

Apparently, it was meant to be irony… or sarcasm, or something like it…
What do y’all think? are there parts of my stories that are hard to understand if you don’t read background material that MIGHT be found here?
Hard to fix if no-one tells me…

Finished posting the first twelve parts of my fic “The Two” to TtH. Took a few days… revised a little bit here and there as I did it.
It’s interesting the things you learn about your fics and the people reading them when you share a fic with a different audience.
No more revisions planned for those parts until I finish the rest of the story.

Someone at MacWorld is a Buffy fan.
(How do I know? In a sidebar comparison of the video-iPod and the SONY PSP in the Feb 2006 edition, the iPod has a picture of Buffy on/in it. From the episode where she meets the first Slayer (It’s a picture of SMG with the desert in the background.)

Spent most of today vegging… not working on work-stuff like I’d planned… just not in the mood to sit in front of a computer and use brain cells.
I should really stop eating near my computer. Got something under the “c” key… so it doesn’t always work…

One of those weeks…

• Had to go buy a new pair of shoes… the ones I’ve been wearing for the past couple years have a hole in them now… and the only ones I could find that fit looked almost identical (minor style differences)
• Broke/cracked a tooth Friday… the gum is the only thing holding the piece in. When it falls out… (It’s a part of the side of one of my back molars) it’s gonna HURT(!!!!). It already hurts if I bite down wrong (the sharp edge of the broken part cuts into the gum)
  I really needed to go see a dentist anyway because of the other tooth I broke before Christmas (though it doesn’t hurt). I’m not a fan of dentists… not by a long shot…
  I just need to find a dentist who can take care of the new broken tooth and not yell at me for the years I’ve avoided dentists… ASAP. And someone who doesn’t mind taking all my spare cash to fix my teeth up (I don’t think my dental insurance is gonna cover it all).

• Have to spend tomorrow doing work… didn’t get the stuff done this past week that I needed to.
• Haven’t done any writing all week… very disappointing

Okay…we’re 8 weeks into the TtH100 and I’ve written only twelve so far. I was hoping to average one fic(let) a week though I really need to do at least two a week to finish any time this year. But that means writing shorter ficlets. Right now I’m averaging approx. 850 words each…
If you check my official “prompt table” you’ll see which ones I have done. Unfortunately, they aren’t in chronological order. I should really fix that. Maybe when I get closer to half way.

Very little writing this month so far… and probably not much for the next couple weeks… other than the obligatory TtH100 entries.
Part of the problem is that I have too many fics in progress… I’d planned on finishing “The Two” and then moving on to “Class of ’99″ but I really want to get some parts of “Red Raider” done (It’s been a year since I added anything to the Willow part of the story). I can’t really decide.
And then there’s work. I have a project that, worse case, HAS to be finished in less than 4 weeks. Not leaving much time for writing.

It actually snowed yesterday. Not a lot, but enough to see a flake or two.
And now we’re half way through January… feels kind of weird…
I just realized… the Super Bowl is on my birthday this year… would it be too much to get myself a new tv (wide screen/Hi-Def of course) for my birthday “;->” ?

For some reason… it’s been in the 50′s the past few days, and rainy. Very strange. Even for here.
But not necessarily a sign of global warming…. sorry.

A bad-fic contest no less… I must have done something wrong because the fics I entered weren’t bad enough to get any reviews on ff.net. Kind of scary.

Of course, it could be because I tried to write a fic that was bad without using bad grammar, spelling, or anything like that. just tried to write fics with the following poblems:

• outlandish non-plot
• outlandish explanation for the unusual pairing
• A Willow-spell stereotypically gone wrong
• character bashing (of the anti-Spike and dusting-Angel sort)
• annoying narrator insertions to unnecessarily explain plot points
• totally unnecessary character descriptions
• unexplained character actions
• An important part of the story is “lost”

But no-one even seemed to notice them — except the people who were part of the bad!fic contest in some way. A couple hundred hits and no reviews… though the account I created seems to be on a couple alert lists… strange…

I could probably fix all of the problems but that would take all of the fun out of them. And they were actually fun to write.

Okay… it is now 2006. And I have two days of vacation left. And I didn’t get much done. Just vegged and hung out… Hopefully January will be much more productive for me than November/December.
