Somewhere out in cable-land, a rerun of that George Burns/John Denver classic, “Oh, God” is playing.
All those people in their creepy 70′s clothes. Yikes!
A few actors I recognize. Poor Teri Garr. In the 10 years after her appearance on Star Trek… she couldn’t get a better role than as John Denver’s wife?
Well, if you don’t count her parts in “Young Frankenstein”, “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” a recurring role in “McCloud”, and a few years after “Oh, God” she got a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award Nomination for her part in “Tootsie.”
Oops. I’d forgotten about “Young Frankenstein”.
I’ve been a fan of hers for a while, even if I haven’t seen all of the movies she’s done. But then, I see movies based on story / plot, not by what actors are in them. In most cases anyway.
